Ketevan Bekauri

Was born on June 31, 1964, in Tbilisi.

In 1989 graduated faculty of law of Ivane Javakishvili Tbilisi State University, specialization – lawyer;

In 1989-1994 worked as legal adviser of Tbilisi polyethylene department of Ministry of Food of Georgia.  

In 1999-2001 was a member of Lawyers Committee, Lawyer.

In 2001-2005 was a vice-president of National Association of Lawyers, Director of Chugureti Bureau of attorneys, Lawyer.

Since 2006 till now is a member of Georgian Bar Association.

Since 2009 till October 2, 2014 was a member of executive board of Georgian Bar Association.

Since 2010 till October 2, 2014 was a member of Criminal Legal Committee of Bar Association, member of Continuous Legal Education Committee, member of Lawyers Rights Committee.

Since 2008 till now is a member of board of Georgian Lawyers Trade Union.

Since 2010 till now is a member of board of Georgian Jurists Union.

Since 2011 till October 2, 2013 was a journalist of media-union “Obiektivi”, presenter of the program “Hour of human rights’ advocate”.

Since March 14, 2013 till October 2, 2013 was a member of criminal law working group of Interagency Coordination Council (within Chief Prosecutor’s Office) working on Criminal Law reforms in Georgia.

Since April 24, 2013 till October 2, 2013 was a member of board of Lawyers’ Social Protection fund.

Since July 25, 2012 till September 7, 2012 was the chairman of “Helsinki Group” of Tbilisi. 

Since March 25, 2013 till October 2, 2013 was the member of working group of NGO-s existing within Tbilisi Office of United Nations Human Right Committee.

In 2013-2015 worked as a member of Disciplinary Committee of Judges of Common Courts of Georgia.

Since 2015 till now is a member of Disciplinary Committee of Judges of Common Courts of Georgia.
